As you approach the Elk’s Lodge, you will see banners and signage pointing toward the front entrance. There is a back entrance nearest the handicap parking, as well, that is normally locked, but one of the ushers should be able to open it before service begins. In the event of coinciding events at this location, such as food and game bazaars, parking will be designated in the back or in the neighboring business’s parking lots, including Inland Choice Dental.
You will be greeted at the entrance to the sanctuary, near the front of the building. Coffee and water will be available at a table to the left of the sanctuary doors, along with snacks, between the 10 am service and 11:30 am Sunday School. Elk’s Lodge allows NO snacks or drinks other than water in the sanctuary. Please be mindful of their request and keep them outside in the main hall or lounge. Men’s restrooms are down the side hall opposite the snacks table, and the ladies’ lounge is down the other hall.
You will be handed a bulletin and directed to a table inside, where Trinity Hymnals and Bibles will be available for your use. Reading materials lie next to them; you are free to take as many as you’d like!
There are two sets of seating as you walk into the sanctuary: (1) fixed stadium seating around the perimeter of the large room for the Lodge’s meetings and (2) chairs lined up in a V-shape on the floor in front of the lectern. Please feel free to sit wherever feels most comfortable.
During the service, we sing four hymns from the Trinity Hymnal and listen to a sermon. Afterward, there will be a 15-minute break to chat, eat snacks, and use the restroom before heading back into the sanctuary for Sunday School at around 11:30 am. Sunday School is a lecture and discussion period, often focusing on the Westminster Confession of Faith, and is similar to a Bible Study.
Below is a sample of our order of worship. We look forward to meeting you!
